About Hearing For A Change
- Hearing for a Change volunteers have changed the lives of 90 struggling readers at Calusa Elementary School, Hammock Pointe Elementary School, Sandpiper Elementary, and Whispering Pines Elementary School.
- When our volunteers first met their buddies in November of 2022, most disliked or even hated books. After 12 weeks, all kids reported that they now liked or loved books because our volunteers were able to show them that listening to audiobooks is a fun and rewarding experience.
- Our struggling readers have read over 4,895 pages!
- Now 90 struggling readers have access to over 88,000 audiobooks on their school computers. They can continue to listen to great books on their own.
